This short 7‑mile Mount Nebo Run ride starts with about four miles of rolling hills before the road pitches sharply upward into one of the steepest climbs in the region. The ascent is dramatic but slow, giving you time to take in the mountain scenery as the views open wider with every turn. Once on top, the pace naturally settles, with an abundance of deer, however, this isn’t normally an issue because the riding is calm and deliberate. The overlooks are stunning, with sweeping views of the valley below that make the effort of the climb feel more than worth it. It’s a brief ride, but one packed with classic Arkansas mountain character.
